These Brother PR Needle Screws come in a set of six and they fit every PR model. They have a point on the business end which can wear flat. Also, they are such tiny blighters they can so easily be lost. One revolution should be sufficient to loosen their grip of the needle. No need to remove the screw to remove the needle. You should always have a spare supply of needle screws. There is a universal law that ensures you will only need a spare needle screw at midnight – or when you can’t wait more than ten minutes.

Already mentioned that there is no need to remove the screw to remove a needle. The screw can drop on the floor. You’ll lose it. The dog/cat/gerbil will see its chance and scoff it. Also, there is no need to break into a sweat over tightening the screw either. A nice firm nip should do the job well enough.
