So when you’re at home ‘measuring up’. Make sure, in whichever room your Tasman will live, there is room for you to walk all the way around it. Don’t just measure the alcove to one side of the chimney breast. Are you with me?
You want to be able to walk around the whole cabinet. So you can lift the rear leaf and, perhaps, use the whole surface of this sewing cabinet as a cutting-out table.

Were you to make the sensible decision to buy your Horn Tasman from Bambers, this is the general roadmap to your satisfaction.
- You contact Bambers and buy the Horn Tasman.
- We ask you for your colour choice and the make and model of your sewing/embroidery machine.
- Approximately 3-4 weeks later, the delivery chap from Horn UK will phone to arrange the delivery day.
Their delivery chap is a decent sort of egg. So much so, he will even set the Tasman up in your sewing room. Just be aware that schlepping the cabinet upstairs is at his discretion. In other words, if you’ve got a spiral staircase, or one of those half-and half leg-breaker staircases – he will probably say ‘No’.
