The Janome DKS100 Special Edition sewing machine is made for ease of use. And it is an easy to use sewing machine. Ten of the buttons have a separate stitch on them. Press the button and the machine will sew the stitch. There are 100 stitches built into the Janome DKS100, each one is selected by a number. Use the number buttons to select each stitch. A Word About the Janome The Janome DKS100 Special Edition Speed Control
The Speed Control adjusts the speed independently from the foot control. (And yes – a foot control does come with the machine). It enables the user to reduce the speed to a crawl, and yet retain full power behind the needle. This is the perfect solution when you are sewing thick or awkward projects. You can sew slow and steady, and the needle will still punch though.
One Step Buttonholes
I remember Dad showing me a four-step buttonhole on a Bernina, about fifty years ago.
Move this lever, Alan’. ‘Then turn this dial’. ‘Then move the lever back’…
It was a right old rigmarole.
Anyway, things have certainly moved on. The Janome DKS100 has six styles of built-in buttonholes. They are all One-Step, and the procedure is far easier. You place the button in the buttonhole foot, and this measures the size. Clip the foot on the machine, and sew.
