Here is a particular Janome Foot Control Top Cover. It fits foot controls C-2022 & C-2023. Both of which are used in many schools and colleges. A drop when tidying away can lead to damage. In addition to this, the top cover often cracks around the hinge pins.
Before you begin.
Unplug the foot control from the mains. Depress it several times. Access through the base of the foot control is often hidden by rubber pads. Don’t remove the pads. In stead, a gentle probe with a screwdriver will reveal the location of the four screws. Remove the screw holding the ‘T-bar’, and remove the hinge pins. Be careful the short spring doesn’t spring into your eye.
