Janome HD2200 Sewing Machine

The Janome HD2200 sewing machine is a tough kind of chap. Perfect if you plan to sew slightly heavier fabrics, or you want to sew all day long, then this model may well be what you’re looking for. Simple to operate and not overloaded with features. Being a sturdy, mechanical machine the Janome HD2200 is also good choice for the classroom.

Is a Mechanical Sewing Machine the right choice for me?

Some people ask for an entirely mechanical sewing machine. They don’t mean steam powered. The Janome HD2200 still requires electricity to run. You plug the foot control into the machine and into the mains and, well, off you go. It just means that the controls, for stitch choice, length and width, are all mechanical. There are no electronic control screens, flashing lights or beep, beep, beeps.

What can I sew on the Janome HD2200 sewing machine?

The strongest mechanical machine made by Janome.  This will sew through all types of fabrics from chiffon to heavier weight denims.  Multiple layers will go through this machine with ease which means you can try your hand at dressmaking, bag making, or home furnishings.

What features does the Janome HD2200 have?

As well as 22 built in stitches suitable for woven or stretch fabrics the HD2200 also has a 1 step buttonhole.  With a drop in bobbin and a needle threader this machine is easy to thread.  The removable accessory tray gives access to the free arm for sewing cuffs  or shortening trouser hems.

What accessories does the Janome HD2200 sewing machine include?

With a selection of presser feet, spare bobbins and a hard cover this machine has everything you need to start sewing.  You’ll just need thread, fabric and some inspiration to get you started.

This model takes Category B feet.  There are a wide range of Category B presser feet available to purchase here.

Guarantee

Alan and Steve’s Guarantee to you

We are Janome Main Agents.
Our guarantee covers your Janome for two years and includes parts and labour, but not transport. It may be an idea to retain the box and internal packaging – if you have space. In the unlikely event that you experience any problems with your machine, please phone us as ‘faults’ can often be rectified over the phone.

Dad always used to say the workshop is the backbone of our business. From the 1970’s both Alan and Steve learned the trade by starting in the workshop. Since those early days, we have both attended many technical training courses across the UK, Germany and Switzerland.
