This Janome MC6500P Hand Wheel is in effect just a cover. The top shaft carries a weight to offset the judder. This cover will slip over it. Sometimes damage occurs through age or accidents. Perhaps, in the school or college classroom, Class 3B might contain a little vandal who likes to break things. Whatever the reason, here is the replacement.

Please take care when fitting. The four catches may snap if treated harshly. A gentle push should suffice.
